Bronze preserves the memory of flight. Philomèle takes its name from the myth of the young woman transformed into a swallow. Bird-like silhouettes emerge from the bronze, their movement forever embedded in the metal. Suspended between stillness and momentum, the sculpture does not depict life—it captures its dynamic essence.
The handcrafted cast glass reveals a rich, luminous material through which light seems to continue flowing. Veined with glowing crimson reflections, it evokes a substance in constant transformation, at once molten and incandescent. Its surface does not return a fixed image; instead, it turns light itself into a material in perpetual motion.
Between the permanence of bronze and the vibrancy of glass, Philomèle presents metamorphosis not as a singular event, but as a continuous state of being. The work captures the fleeting moment when form ceases to belong to the still world and joins the living rhythm of movement.
